1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Social Link ("Social Link," "SocialLink.ai," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the SocialLink.ai website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). SocialLink.ai is a live local marketplace that connects businesses, creators, professionals, and community members for content, bookings, and live engagement. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide directly
Name, email address, phone number, business or brand name, social media handles, niche/category, city or service area, profile details, and any content or messages you submit. When you transact, payment and payout information is processed securely through our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
Information from connected social accounts (Meta, TikTok, YouTube/Google)
If you choose to connect a social account or sign in using Facebook Login, TikTok Login Kit, or Google/YouTube OAuth, we receive information that platform authorizes you to share. Depending on the permissions you grant, this may include your public profile (name, username, profile picture, account ID), email address, follower or subscriber counts, audience and engagement metrics, and a list of your public content (such as videos or posts). We request only the minimum scopes needed to verify your identity and display your creator metrics on your profile.
Information collected automatically
Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions with the live map, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6). With your permission, we collect approximate or precise location to power live presence on the map.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: operate, maintain, and improve the Services; create and display your profile; verify your identity and creator metrics; match businesses with relevant local creators and professionals; facilitate bookings, brand deals, content licensing, and live tipping; process payments and payouts; surface live presence on the map where you consent; send transactional and account communications; provide customer support; ensure safety and prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use data obtained through social platform APIs for advertising targeting, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We share information with vendors who perform services for us, including Stripe (payments and payouts), Netlify (hosting and form processing), and Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager (usage analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
Other users, by your direction
When you accept a deal, booking, or live interaction, we share the profile and contact details necessary to complete it with the relevant business, creator, or community member.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Social Link, our users, or the public.
Business transfers
If Social Link is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Third-Party Platform Data (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google)
Our use of information received from social platform APIs adheres to each platform’s developer terms and policies, including their respective limited-use requirements. The disclosures below apply when you connect the corresponding account.
Meta / Facebook & Instagram
When you use Facebook Login or connect a Meta account, we access only the data you authorize (such as public profile, email, and, where granted, professional account metrics). We use this data solely to authenticate you and populate your SocialLink.ai profile. We handle Meta data in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. You can remove SocialLink.ai’s access at any time in your Facebook settings under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites.
TikTok
When you connect TikTok via Login Kit, we may access your TikTok profile (display name, avatar, open ID), follower count, and your list of public videos, subject to the scopes you approve. We use this only to verify your account and display your creator metrics and content. We process TikTok data in accordance with the TikTok Developer Terms and Platform policies. You can revoke access in your TikTok settings under Security & login → Manage app permissions.
YouTube / Google API Services
SocialLink.ai uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information accessed through the YouTube API (such as your channel, subscriber count, and public video data) is used solely to display your creator metrics on your profile. Our use of information received from YouTube API Services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke SocialLink.ai’s access to your Google/YouTube data at any time via the Google security settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. We store YouTube API data only as long as needed to provide the Services and refresh it periodically; you may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
Google API Services Limited Use disclosure
SocialLink.ai’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not transfer it except as necessary to provide or improve the Services, for security, or to comply with law.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, Google Tag Manager, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Where required by law, we request consent before setting non-essential cookies.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Data obtained from connected social platforms is retained only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected and is deleted upon account deletion or your request. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also opt out of marketing communications at any time.
How to request deletion of your data
To delete your account and the personal information we hold about you — including any data obtained through connected Meta, TikTok, YouTube, or Google accounts — email privacy@sociallink.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request,” or use the in-app account deletion option where available. We will verify your request and delete the corresponding data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Disconnecting a social account in that platform’s settings also revokes our ongoing access on a going-forward basis.
9. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and use of reputable processors such as Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Users
Social Link is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
